[A Dream and a Passion from the Land] On the gently rolling slopes of Bagua Mountain in Nantou, a young man is quietly realizing his blueberry dream. He is Yang Shih-yi, the manager of "Berry Diary." Growing up in orchards, he witnessed the aging rural population and the gradual loss of vitality in the land, which inspired him to dedicate himself to horticulture studies, making "blueberry cultivation" his graduation thesis. After years of dedicated research and cultivation, he has now created a blueberry orchard covering one and a half hectares in his hometown. The orchard mainly cultivates "Southern High-Grain Blueberry" and "Rabbiteye Blueberry," producing plump fruits with high nutritional value, and practices a natural, environmentally friendly, and pesticide-free farming philosophy.

[Natural Symbiosis × Sustainable Harmony: The Gentle Path of Blueberries] While blueberries are a popular imported fruit in Taiwan, successfully cultivating them there is no easy feat. Blueberries thrive in highly acidic, well-drained soil, are very sensitive to environmental conditions, and are easily affected by pests, diseases, and birds. Yang Shih-yi, however, chose not to take shortcuts. He used bird nets instead of bird repellents; employed "grassland cultivation" to plant plants favored by bees and beneficial insects, creating an ecological habitat; and relied on bees for pollination and carnivorous insects such as mantises and crickets to control pests and diseases. Each blueberry grows slowly in this naturally symbiotic environment and is carefully harvested by hand. This gentle dedication to the land results in blueberries with a richer, more layered flavor, allowing you to eat them with peace of mind and a satisfying experience.

To prevent birds from playing and causing fruit to fall, bird nets are specially installed to replace bird repellents, protecting crops in a friendly way while also safeguarding wildlife and the ecological environment.

By allowing native grass species to grow naturally among fruit trees, a stable grass ecosystem can be established, replacing the use of chemical herbicides and reducing the impact and burden on the environment.

Because the owner's father was a beekeeper, bees are also kept in the park to help pollinate the blueberries, improving the pollination rate and fruit quality.
